Matthew Roveto was born in Boston, MA and raised on the South Shore. He splits his time between New York City and Los Angeles. His previous work has screened at Slamdance, Champs-Élysées Film Festival, New Orleans Film Festival, RiverRun, OutFest, Maryland Film Festival, and more. His music video work has been programmed on CMT.
He attended University of North Carolina School of the Arts where he studied cinematography under his close mentors Thomas E. Ackerman ASC, David Elkins SOC, David Parrish SOC.
He now attends the American Film Institute in Los Angeles as a Cinematography Fellow.
When not immersed in filmmaking, Mr. Roveto enjoys his vinyl collection, exploring, and indulging his desire for delicious food.
